Golley’s week that was #16

We launched our Superfast Broadband campaign in style…

We kicked off our advertising and PR campaign to promote the Welsh Government’s Superfast Cymru scheme with a stunt in west Wales. Built by Wild Creations, a six-foot lightning bolt appeared to crash into the ground at Cardigan Castle to help us launch the second phase of our campaign to encourage members of the public to take up the service. We were thrilled to work with Wild Creations on the top-secret stunt and our PR team saw their ideas come to life. The bolt will be touring around Wales so watch this space!

Our Advertising MD jetted off to Barcelona on a business trip…

While we all mourned the loss of summer weather, our Advertising MD Mike managed to slip in a trip to Barcelona to meet up with our overseas agency partners. As well as talking shop about one of our exciting new projects, Mike managed to visit a few tourist hotspots along the way – this is the sort of meeting we love!

We explored the secrets of Cardigan Castle…

The PR team headed across to west Wales to visit our newest client, Cardigan Castle, to film social media content promoting their wedding and accommodation packages as well as some of their weekend retreats. Our PR Account Manager, Lizzy, even played a starring role in our personal training session out on the sunny lawn.

We helped our client, Plasdŵr, engage with the local community in Llandaff…

A large part of our communications strategy for Plasdŵr, Cardiff’s Garden City of 7,000 homes bordering Radyr and St Fagans, is community relations. We’ve been holding regular drop-in sessions in communities surrounding the development to give local residents the opportunity to meet with the development team, find out more about the plans and ask any questions.

This week we held our first community drop-in session in Llandaff, which was attended by more than 20 local residents including Cardiff Councillor Sean Driscoll.

We’re over the moon to have won the PR contract for Organ Donation Wales…

Our advertising colleagues already work with Organ Donation having created the hard-hitting advert last year encouraging people to let their families know their decision to stop relatives overriding the new Welsh Government legislation and now our PR team can join in on the fun!

We had a great kick-off meeting and are looking forward to start planning and implementing our ideas.
