Golley’s week that was #12

Our regular round-up of what’s been going on in the Golley Slater Cardiff office over the last seven days.

Promoting superfast broadband in Wales

Earlier this week, we shot a new film for an upcoming superfast broadband campaign. Last year, for the same campaign, we sourced case studies from across the country to tell their stories about how superfast broadband is improving their day-to-day lives. This year, we’ve revisited a couple of them to see how they’re getting on. The campaign will go live next week, and the film will be shown on social media – so keep an eye out.

Filming forklifts!

ClientLinde – a forklift truck manufacturer – has opened a new depot in Wellinborough, Northamptonshire, to strengthen its local network and meet increased customer demand in the region. From its new 53,000 square foot site, Linde will sell both new and used forklift trucks, as well as offering short-term rentals and providing service support to local customers.

Some of our PR and content team  headed up to check out the new site and film the official launch event with the company’s UK Managing Director and the local mayor – and of course they had to try out some of the trucks!

..And finally!

This week we’ve been celebrating some major Golley-versaries. Our PR Director, Sian Taylor, has been part of the Golley Gang for 10 years now and Sarah Elliot, our Recruitment Advertising Team Manager, has worked here for 25 years!

Recalling some of her favourites memories, Sian told us that driving a mega truck and completing an army assault course were among her favourites. Sarah, too, had some good memories to share reminiscing on Golley nights out and team building days.

We’ve been slap-bang in the centre of Cardiff since 1958 and there’s no better place to inspire fresh thinking and creativity on a daily basis. We work with a dedicated and lovely bunch of people, with many more Golley-versaries to come in the coming months.
