Wales Week in London 2018

We’re a sponsor of the annual Wales Week in London this year, which brings the best of Wales to the English capital in the period around St. David’s Day.

More than 75 events will take place across a two-week period, to showcase the best in Welsh arts and culture, food and crafts, sport and business.

As a Welsh business working UK-wide, we thought Wales Week in London would be the perfect opportunity for us to promote the great creativity coming out of our nation.

#WalesCreates – a collaborative campaign

We’ve teamed up with a fab and diverse group of Welsh creators to take over a well-known landmark on St David’s Day, to give Londoners a taste of how creative Wales is.

The creators include:

  • Jeremy Thomas, an artist, from Ebbw Vale
  • Matt Wild, founder of Cardiff-based Wild Creations
  • Martin McCabe, managing director of Atticus Digital
  • Rachel Burgess, owner of Rachel Burgess Bridal Boutique
  • Heidi-Louise Griffiths, co-founder and creative director of MAYKHER – a sustainable and ethical fashion company
  • Angela Gidden, furniture and fashion designer and owner

We met up with each of them and made a #WalesCreates series of films to get their take on what makes Wales so creative.

Head to our social channels where we’ve been sharing one of these films each day this week. We’ll also be sharing more on our St David’s Day London takeover, so keep your eyes peeled.
