Golley’s week that was #5

It’s the end of the first week back after Christmas – thank goodness it was a short one! We were straight back in to the swing of things after the long break, but with some really exciting campaigns coming up, there has been a real buzz in the office this week.

1. We announced the winner of our #JollyGolleyXmas competition

We loved seeing all of the weird and wonderful entries from our clients, friends and suppliers who tweeted us to tell us where they were hanging their custom-made Christmas decoration. In the end, our clients at Folly Farm stole the show – you can’t really trump a picture with a real life rhino!

2. We looked back at our Children’s Wales Air Ambulance TV advert

Over the Christmas holiday, our 30 second advert for the Wales Air Ambulance was screened on ITV. This week we took a look back at the making of the ad, as we prepare to launch the next phase of the campaign – read more about it here.

3. We teased our new Mitsubishi Motors TV ad

We are all super excited about this one. Our new TV advert for the 2017 Outlander PHEV campaign airs for the first time on Monday – but we released a short teaser to give people a flavour of what to expect. The boundary-pushing work was the idea of Creative Directors David Abbott & Paul Williams, and was shot on location in Cape Town. Stay tuned to our social media channels for the full reveal next week.

4. We brainstormed for the students at the University of South Wales

Next week, we’ll be setting the BA Advertising Design students at USW a mock creative brief to work on, as part of their enhanced learning workshop. We’ve got a really interesting brief prepared for them and we’re looking forward to hearing all of their creative ideas!
