Golley’s week that was #6

Our regular round-up of what’s been going on in the Golley Slater Cardiff office over the last seven days.

1. We drooled over all of the great food available in Wales at the moment

It was no surprise to see our clients, Hilton Cardiff and the delicious Dusty Knuckle (pictured above), in this list – although we have to disagree with Wales Online about one thing. Though we love the seared tuna loin, our favourite item on the Grey restaurant menu is definitely the bottomless Prosecco brunch

2. Our new advert for the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV went live

After months of hard work and planning, our new sixty-second Mitsibishi advert debuted on ITV on Monday night. We’re really chuffed with the reception that the campaign has had so far, and next week we’ll be publishing a behind the scenes video showing how the ad was made, featuring loads of footage shot on location out in beautiful Cape Town.

3. We visited Cranc Studio to record some radio ads

Cranc is a local, independent audio post-production facility based in Llandaff. We visited their HQ on Wednesday afternoon to record some new radio adverts for our one of our Scotland-based clients, SPS Envirowall.

4. We held 2017’s first CIPR Cymru comittee meeting, and there’s good news for members

At the first CIPR Cymru committee meeting of the year, it was announced that the monthly ‘Social Shorts’ training and networking events will now be free for all members. As always, attendance at each one carries 5 CPD points, and members will still need to register for tickets. The first event of 2017 takes place next week, where the Marketing Manager from Cardiff Metropolitan University will be talking about their PRide award-winning student blog campaign.
