Golley’s week that was #1

The beginning of December brought with it another busy week in the Golley Slater office.

1. We announced Dydd Miwsig Cymru

Our PR team have been busy working on the launch of Dydd Miwsig Cymru, which was publicly unveiled by Radio One DJ Huw Stephens at the beginning of the week. On 10th February 2017, a celebration of the best of Welsh language music from the past 50 years will be marked with a vibrant mix of gigs, performances, art installations and competitions across the country. For more details, visit www.llyw.cymru/cymraeg/Dyddmiwsigcymru or search for the hashtag: #DyddMiwsigCymru.

2. We launched The Professional Teaching Awards Cymru

We worked with Barn Media to produce this video to launch the Professional Teaching Awards Cymru. Pupils, parents, and colleagues can now nominate education professionals and schools for consideration, and the winners will be announced at a prestigious event in Cardiff City Hall on 7th May 2017. 3. We revealed the reasons behind a bad Christmas hangover

“A bad hangover can make you question your very existence,” says Dr Vijay Anand, a GP at St Joseph’s Hospital – one of our integrated agency clients. We know the feeling all too well, Vijay! A journalist from Glamour Magazine tried a variety of tactics to avoid the aftermath of one too many wines – find out if she was successful or not at Glamourmagazine.co.uk.

4. And we got the Christmas decorations up!

We’ve already scoffed about 30 boxes of mince pies, and the Christmas tunes have been on repeat for at least a fortnight. On Friday, we assembled the giant tree in our atrium, and it took a team of 3 all afternoon to decorate it. It was worth the effort though – now we really feel like Christmas is on the way.
